Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 7-15 days. If 15 days have passed since your deposit, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

No Refund for Completed Work

  1. Policy: Refunds are generally not granted for completed and delivered work unless there is a significant issue (e.g., work not meeting agreed-upon requirements).
  2. Reason: Once work is delivered and approved by the client, the freelancer is entitled to payment for their effort.

Milestone-Based Refunds

  1. Policy: If a project is divided into milestones, refunds may be requested for milestones not yet started or completed.
  2. Reason: This ensures fairness if a project is canceled midway.

Dispute Resolution

  1. Policy: If there is a disagreement about the quality or completion of work, clients can raise a dispute. The marketplace’s mediation team will review the situation and decide whether a refund is warranted.
  2. Key Factors Considered:

    • Evidence of agreed deliverables.
    • Communication between the client and freelancer.
    • Whether the freelancer adhered to the requirements.

Refund Requests for Unresponsive Freelancers

  1. Policy: If a freelancer becomes unresponsive or fails to start the work within the agreed time frame, the client may request a refund.
  2. Resolution: The platform may approve the refund after reviewing communication logs.

Refund for Canceled Orders

  1. Policy: If a client cancels an order before the freelancer begins working, a full or partial refund may be issued.
  2. Condition: Refund terms depend on whether any upfront work or research has been done by the freelancer.

Buyer Protection

  1. Policy: Many platforms have “buyer protection” programs to safeguard clients against substandard work or fraud.
  2. Condition: Clients must report issues within a specific time frame (e.g., 7–14 days after delivery).

Best Practices for Clients

  1. Define Clear Terms: Ensure the project scope and deliverables are clearly defined.
  2. Use Milestones: Break the project into smaller parts to reduce risks.
  3. Document Everything: Keep a record of all communications and agreements for reference in case of disputes.
  4.
